Dakota Homestead Title Insurance Company was organized to serve the abstracters, bankers, realtors, builders, and lawyers involved in the title insurance industry in the state of South Dakota. Service was initially provided throughout the state's smaller counties; always performing to opportunity, enabling Dakota Homestead to develop the trust required of lasting relationships with agents in the larger county markets. Since 1994, Dakota Homestead has expanded operations to serve agents in the neighboring states of Minnesota, North Dakota, and Nebraska. In January, 2005, Dakota Homestead Title Insurance Company appointed Dakota Homestead Title Services, LLC (formerly Dakota Homestead of Colorado, LLC) as its Managing General Agent to manage their affairs in the state of Colorado. Dakota Homestead Title Services provides the requisite local presence along with a diverse portfolio of products and services catering to the varied needs of Colorado title insurance agents. Dakota Homestead Title Services offers assistance for new agents in setting up their agencies, new agent training, limited services to established agents including title searches, commitments, examinations, policy preparation and issue, as well as escrow services.
